Welcome to the Church of the Good Shepherd (CoGS), Crookhorn. We aim to be a church where you can be yourself, encounter God, and live life with a purpose. You can get a bit of a taste of our life as a church from this website. We do encourage you to come along and experience it for yourself. You can be assured of a warm welcome. Our weekly talks are available for download in mp3 format or as a podcast CoGS is an Anglican Church based in Crookhorn, near Waterlooville in Hampshire and is also connected to the New Wine Network (see link to their website for their values etc.) We are not a traditional looking church – we don’t even have a spire! We are a church for all people regardless of social class, gender, disability, age or race etc. We believe that the Good News of Jesus Christ is a message for all people, and we seek to ensure that everyone will be welcome into CoGS. We have a good social mix of people and one of the characteristics of CoGS is that we are welcoming and there is a ‘family’ feel to it. Our mission statement is: To Love God, Love Each Other and to Love the Lost, and our aims are found in our Core values. We know that we must firstly seek to Love God first. In our loving of Him that impacts our relationships with each other and the community we live in. Jesus said ‘By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” (John 13.35). The love we have received from God needs to affect our lives, and that means we must also be a outward looking church.
