Once Friday nights were the dullest of the week, nothing to do and nowhere to go. That was until Ngage came along.

Ngage is a first contact group for young people and a social group for all those over 11 involved in the youth ministry at CoGS. Ngage is run by a group of committed volunteers who provide free hot food, as well as a warm friendly atmosphere and a listening ear. There are activities such as 5 a side football, games consoles projected onto big screens, a nailbar for the girls and the best hot chocolate for miles around. Also from time to time we go on trips out or do special events at CoGS.

Fusion

When is it on: Most Mondays 5pm – 6:30pm in term time but not bank holidays

Who is it for: School year R-6

Fusion is wild, messy and funky. A Saturday TV style presentation with a bible talk and messy games plus funky songs led by our cool dance team and games for all the children to take part in. It is fast-paced and fun and a place where children can learn about Jesus and how to follow him in their everyday lives. We have a ‘prayer shack’ – a really cool funky place to chill out and pray to God.

Toddlers

When is it on: Tuesday 10am-11:30am and Wednesday 9:45am-11:15am

Who is it for: Parents and carers with children 0-4 years

A friendly and welcoming group for children from birth to school age and their parents or carers. There are lots of toys for the little ones and a craft activity each week. Refreshments are provided at no additional cost (juice and biscuits for the children, and tea or coffee and cakes for the grown ups) and each session finishes up with some group singing. A great opportunity for parents and carers to enjoy some adult company and make new friends while their children have fun playing and mixing with others. We hold other events and activities throughout the year for example a Christmas meal for mums and a trip with picnic in the summer. We also run parenting courses. Tots & Tunes

When is it on: 10am to 11am Thursdays during term time

Who is it for: Parents and carers with children 0-4 years

Come and join in the fun making music, singing and dancing (if you’re feeling keen!) with your child in this group for little ones from birth to school age. This is a great opportunity to spend some time together, as well as to enjoy the company of other adults with kids. Refreshments are provided. Little Gems

When is it on: Most weeks on a Sunday morning 10-11:30

Who is it for: Children aged 3 and up to and including those in Reception year at school

Little Gems is our Sunday morning group for children from pre-school age (2 years and 9 months) to the end of the Reception year at school. The children are welcomed and cared for by a dedicated team. Each week there are different activities, including crafts, colouring and stories. The Bible is introduced to the children in an exciting and creative way. For more information please contact Fleur Chambers via the church office.

If you enjoy great games, making craft, getting messy and of course having fun then you will love holiday club. All this much fun for only £1 each morning. Come and join us, as we discover true treasure.

To secure your place, download (Registration Form) or collect the pre-registration form from the Church (Tue & Wed 10am-1pm). Then simply return your form to the Church with payment to secure your place. Pre-registration is also available on Monday 18th February, at the Church between 10am & 1pm.

All spaces are available on a first come first serve basis.

Doors open Tuesday 19th February at 9:45am sharp, limited places may be available if you have not pre-registered.

Aftershock Boys Discipleship Group

When is it on: Fortnightly on a Wednesday evening 6:30pm-7:30pm

Who is it for: Boys from year 7 onwards

Aftershock is about the shock wave that Jesus has on our lives after the initial impact He has once we have decided to follow him. For lads in year 7 and above we look at how Jesus is relevant to our lives today at school, college and home. And because Jesus is interested in every part of our life we get out and about as well. From bowling to weekends away we are looking at living our lives for Jesus all the time not just on Sunday. Come on over and find some new mates and join in the fun.

Funky Fish Puppet Group

When is it on: Meets most Sundays 6pm

Who is it for: Anybody who wants to learn how to communicate the Christian message with wide-mouthed puppets

Puppets are used in various of the children’s groups and in school assemblies as well as at special events. The group also regularly go into an old people’s home.
